Drop Off and Collections

At the start and end of the school day traffic flow and pedestrian activity around the school is particularly high.  We recognise there will be high volumes of traffic, although we encourage children to walk, cycle or car share to school if possible.

Please do not drive onto the school car park or the grounds.  When collecting and dropping off, we ask that you park considerately, taking care not to cause obstructions and keeping an eye out for pedestrians.  Please ensure you do not block any of our resident’s paths as this is a criminal offence.

Bicycle Rack

We have a bicycle rack to store cycles during school time. Please note we are unable to accept any responsibility for cycles left on the rack.  Pupils are actively encouraged to use ‘eco friendly’ methods of transport to and from school.

Foundation Stage (Nursery and Reception)

Drop off and collections are made directly outside the conservatory doors.

Key Stage 1 (Year 1 and Year 2)

Drop off – parents should wait with their children on the school yard.  When collecting your child you should wait on the yard by the pagoda.  The staff will bring them onto the yard and will be released to authorised parents/guardians.

Key Stage 2 (Year 3 to Year 6)

Drop off – children wait on the yard until line up time – the start of the school day.

Collecting – Key Stage 2 children are released from the classroom by the staff.

Late Drop Off

Any children arriving late will come through the main office where parents will be asked to sign them in with a reason for lateness.

Late Pick Up

If children and not collected on time, TAs escort them to the front foyer and telephone parents. If not collected, teachers will supervise children from 3.30 p.m. onwards. When parents do arrive to collect children, they will then be asked to sign a “late register” and give reasons for lateness.

Thank you for your cooperation at these busy times during the school day.
